Meet Justin! Justin is a Project Manager here at Guidepoint in our New York office. He graduated from Providence College in 2020 where he studied Political Science & Finance. During his free time, Justin loves traveling with friends and family, working out, and trying new food (especially during lunchtime at our NYC office in Chelsea).

Guidepoint: What is the best part of working on the Client Service team?

Justin: The best part to me is dealing with new challenges and client requests every day!

Guidepoint: What do you find most interesting about working in the expert network industry?

Justin: The niche topics of research we are a part of on team consulting. For example, we recently helped a client learn about defense lasers being used by governments around the world in outer space.

Guidepoint: What has been one of your biggest accomplishments so far in your career?

Justin: I am currently finishing up my MBA at Fairfield University. I have been able to take night classes while working at Guidepoint and hope to be using the management skills I have learned in my role as a Project Manager in future endeavors.

Guidepoint: Have you ever seen something you’ve worked on reflected in the news? What was it?

Justin: Last month I helped spearhead a due diligence project regarding electronic software being used in the healthcare space, which has been a hot topic in current events given the COVID-19 pandemic and innovations in healthcare around the world.

Guidepoint: What’s something you learned unexpectedly while working at Guidepoint?

Justin: Being able to understand what motivates, influences, and drives other coworkers, advisors, and clients.

Guidepoint: What’s the most unique kind of expert you’ve worked with at Guidepoint?

Justin: Recently I worked with an expert from a large retail company who specialized in their future innovation of virtual shopping in the metaverse.

Guidepoint: Who is your biggest career inspiration whether internally at Guidepoint or externally?

Justin: Our team lead Michael Sperling has been a great role model to learn from given his wealth of knowledge and experience at Guidepoint. On a personal note, my father has always been someone who inspires me in anything I do.

Guidepoint: Where do you hope your career takes you in the next 5 years?

Justin: For now, I am excited to continue helping our team grow. For the future, we will have to see what might come, but I am currently beginning to develop an interest in private equity and/or relationship management-type roles.

Guidepoint: What would you consider yourself an expert in or at?

Justin: I would say that I am very good at taking context from the past and applying it to the future or current problems in executing tasks. I have also been told that I have a lot of knowledge of random fun facts that many people are not aware of.
